Food Writing
I always look forward to summer, as we discover a lot of new kids and teen writers during this time of the year at our summer creative writing classes.
This week’s featured young writer is 14-year-old Bryan Angelo Caindoy who joined us for the first time during our food writing class. We were charmed by his unique take on food writing. Bon appetit!
Marvel® by Bryan Angelo Caindoy
Pizza is a superhero’s favorite food. The dough was pounded to a thin dough by the Hands of Luke Cage. The shape was molded by the Hands of Iron Fist. The sauce was so red it was bloody like the Punisher but none of it is his. The cheese was so cheesy like Spiderman’s puns.
The toppings are so many it’s so hard to point out the flavour like Dr. Strange’s Magic. Then was baked in an oven like the heat of Hell’s Kitchen and then nicely served by a beautiful lady like Jessica Jones.
